What is the Pink Purse Project?
Can the right purse resurrect a woman’s confidence? At the Pink Purse Project, we believe it can. Our mission is to empower women with renewed confidence and a positive self-image. Not just a bag for lipstick and gum, the Pink Purse Project holds access to community resources, emotional and physical support and financial services. We’re distributing more than purses and personal items, we’re sharing the value of self-worth.
This project targets women with a history of homelessness, human trafficking, domestic abuse financial instability, low self esteem, depression and overall insecurity. Through the gift of a purse, this project reaches women and provides them with encouragement and strength to overcome their current situations and make positive life changing decisions that will increase their confidence and empower them to be assertive and influential women in their communities.
